GTR MICROGRIND™ CRUMB RUBBER
MODIFIED ASPHALT APPLICATIONS
Global's first market focus has been the Florida D.O.T. crumb rubber modified (CRM) asphalt program. All F.D.O.T. asphalt highway projects require a D.O.T. 40 mesh crumb rubber in a 12% mixture in the liquid asphalt for the top friction course and a D.O.T. 20 mesh crumb rubber in a 5% mixture as a membrane inter-layer. This provides an extended life of the highways, a quieter ride for all passengers and a useful recycling outlet for some of Florida's waste tires.
GTR supplies its MICROGRIND™ product for this application to virtually every Florida asphalt blender. We ship MICROGRIND™ in either bulk tanker trucks, super sacks, or in 50 lb. low melt polybags. GTR has earned a reputation for its superior ambient-ground quality, quick response time, excellent support service and competitive pricing. MICROGRIND™ rubber dominates a large share of the market and is now in most state highways and many county and municipal roads as well.

GTR MICROGRIND™ MOLDED & EXTRUDED
PRODUCTS AND SURFACE COATING APPLICATIONSGTR MICROGRIND™ fine mesh crumb rubber is used as a lower-cost additive to natural, virgin rubber, usually in conjunction with another polymer or adhesive that acts as a binding agent to form a variety of finished products. As a molded product, it can be used to make floor tiles, exercise and fatigue mats, mud flaps, bumpers, truck bed liners, etc. The applications are almost endless. As an extruded product, it can be use to make agricultural hoses, soaker hoses and other similar products. It has applications in many coatings, like driveway sealers and roofing materials.
Generally, GTR MICROGRIND™ is available in sizes from -10 mesh to -40 mesh. Usually, with its in-house laboratory capabilities, Global works with its customers to analyze the performances of various products and then develops the ideal custom sieve size of fine mesh crumb rubber for each customer. Each customer's needs are unique and Global's commitment is to custom grind to meet those needs.

GTR SOFT-COVER™ PLAYGROUND APPLICATIONS
GTR SOFT-COVER™ is one of our most exciting products directed toward our playground market. Clean, used automobile tires are recycled by shredding and grinding them down to a fine particle called crumb rubber that is completely environmentally friendly. This granular product, primarily between 3/8" & 1/8" in size, is 100% steel free and contains naturally occurring white accent color from small amounts of cushion fiber and white granular rubber. GTR SOFT-COVER™ meets the maximum safety standard for fall height. At 6" deep, the critical fall height of shredded tires ranges from 10-12 feet. Our product has been tested to ASTM specification and meets the maximum 12 foot (or greater) critical fall height criteria. This means that it has greater shock absorbing characteristics, which should result in fewer injuries from falling compared to sand, mulch, or pour-in-place surfaces.

GTR SOFT-COVER™ LANDSCAPE APPLICATIONS
GTR SOFT-COVER™ is a landscaping material that makes a beautiful background for highlighting shrubs and flowers. It can be used in any decorative scheme to contrast with other materials like gravel, marble, woodchips and mulch. It also is used directly on top of grass. GTR SOFT-COVER™ provides excellent drainage because, unlike mulch, it does not absorb water; yet, it provides an excellent barrier to hold in moisture in the soil and reduce evaporation. In addition GTR SOFT- COVER™ is superior to conventional mulch because; it does not attract or provide a nesting environment for ants, spiders, termites and other pests and insects; it does not wash away in heavy rainfall; and it will not deteriorate over time. Use it to make your own potting soil, or to grow orchids. It provides excellent aeration.
GTR SOFT-WALK™ WALKWAY AND EQUESTRIAN APPLICATIONS
GTR SOFT-WALK™ is Global's granular-size material that is used in walkways. Its appearance beautifies any walkway area and is soft to walk on. It is also used in the equestrian market for arenas and horse stalls. People are finding this unique product to be an added essential in their business surroundings and in parks, as well as farms and other areas that are heavily used.
